Kappo Sono

The newest iteration of Kappo Sono is an ebullient 12-seat counter overlooking the Manhattan cityscape helmed by one of the most renowned and beloved practitioners of kaiseki in the United States, Chef Chikara Sono. Although a major proponent of hyper-seasonality, precise techniques, and Japanese tradition, more important is Sono’s unwavering humility, humor, and warmth for those in his presence. He will host only 12 guests per evening, so he could profoundly connect with each and every one of them. Along with his longtime team, Sono has enlisted Pastry Chef Norie Uematsu and Beverage Director Leo Lê to bolster his experience.
